A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which the cookie data was sent, as well as information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumeric identifier. Cookies enable our systems to recognize the user’s device and make any preferences immediately available. For these reasons, we also read cookies which are already present on your computer (from Google AdWords or Facebook for example). As soon as a user accesses the platform, a cookie is transferred to the hard drive in the respective user’s computer.

2.8 GOOGLE ANALYTICS.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called »cookies«. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your website usage. For example, they collect data about the operating system, the browser, your IP address, the website you previously visited (referrer URL) and the date and time you visited our website. The data generated by the cookie about the user’s website usage is transmitted to Google and stored on their servers in the United States.

IP anonymization has been activated on this website so that the IP address of users in European Union member states or other countries who are parties to the European Economic Area Agreement is shortened beforehand by Google. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of analyzing user website usage, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.
You can find more information about this directly from Google at: http://www.google.com/intl/de/privacypolicy.html#information

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of the cookie by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we draw the users’ attention to the fact that in this case they may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Users can also prevent the transmission to Google of the data generated by the cookie and data related to their website usage (including their IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link. The current link is: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Google has committed to comply with the Privacy Shield Agreement between the EU and the US, published by the U.S. Department of Commerce, concerning the collection, use and retention of personal data from EU member states. Google, including Google Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiaries in the U.S., has declared by certification that it complies with the relevant Privacy Shield principles.
Furthermore, Google Analytics has obtained certification to the independent standard ISO 27001. ISO 27001 is one of the most widely accepted standards throughout the world.

2.9 GOOGLE USES THE DOUBLECLICK DART COOKIE.

Users can opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy. This cookie does not store any of the user’s directly personal data, but only the Internet Protocol address. Of course, you can also view our websites without cookies. For this purpose, we use the Mautic e-mail and online marketing tool, which is operated exclusively on
servers in Germany.

By accepting our data privacy declaration, you also consent that we transmit the data of your user behavior on our website (which documents you call up or download) and your resulting interest profile to those of our brand partners who can provide you locally with assistance due to their geographic proximity and range of products and services. In this way, they can check whether you are a Facebook user with the same e-mail address. Further information on the purpose and scope of Facebook’s data collection can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

To avoid receiving personalized advertising from us on your Facebook wall, you can use a different e-mail address than the one that’s used for your Facebook account. 2.17 HOTJAR.

PERFORMANCE ONE uses the web analysis service Hotjar, by the company Hotjar Ltd., on some websites. Hotjar Ltd. is a European company based in Malta (Hotjar Ltd, Level 2, St Julians Business
Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta, Europe

Tel.: +1 (855) 464-6788).

This tool is able to track movements on various websites on which Hotjar is installed, and can then be traced (via so-called heatmaps). For example, it tracks how far users scroll, which buttons users click,
and how often. Further, it is also possible to obtain feedback directly from website users, via this tool. This enables us to gain valuable information to make our websites even faster and more
customer-friendly.

PERFORMANCE ONE pays particular attention to protecting your personal data when using this tool.
So, we can only track which buttons are clicked, the history of the mouse, how far is scrolled, the screen size of the device, device type, the browser information, geographical location (only the country), and the preferred language for displaying our website. Areas of the websites in which your personal data or that of third parties are displayed are automatically hidden by Hotjar, thereby making them non-traceable at any time.

Hotjar offers every user the option of preventing the Hotjar tool from being activated, with the help of a »Do Not Track« header, ensuring that no data pertaining to the online activity on the respective website is recorded. This is a setting that all commonly-used browsers support in their current versions. Your browser consequently sends a request to Hotjar to deactivate the tracking action for that specific user. If you are active on the PERFORMANCE ONE website via different browsers/computers, you must set up the »Do Not Track« header for each of these browsers/computers, separately.

Detailed instructions with information pertaining to your browser can be found at: https://www.hotjar.com/opt-out

More information on Hotjar Ltd. and info. on the Hotjar tool can be found at: https://www.hotjar.com
